WHO WE ARE
Macatumbalen Community-Based Forest and Coastal Management Association (CBFMA #29) is a women-led people's organization that manages and protects the environment in San Vicente, Palawan. We are committed to preserving the natural resources of our community and promoting sustainable practices that benefit both people and the environment. Our organization is dedicated to empowering women and promoting gender equality in our community, as we believe that women have a key role to play in protecting the environment and ensuring a sustainable future for all. We work closely with local communities, government agencies, and other organizations to develop and implement projects that promote sustainable forestry, agriculture, and fisheries practices. Our goal is to create a model for community-based natural resource management that can be replicated in other areas of the Philippines and beyond.
